For the 2005 vintage we experimented with a more German-style Riesling, showing fruit sweetness and a crisp finish. It retains the intense lime and citrus aromatic qualities typical of the Hawker Ridge fruit.

March 1, 2005Blackcurrent and chocolate are in abundance in this fruit-driven Cabernet, matured in French oak more than a year. This wine has layered tannins and a smooth palate. The fruit was sourced from vineyards in the Kendenup and Mt Barker regions.
2004 Shiraz
March 1, 2005Our first Shiraz vintage showed well-balanced tannins, peppery spice and fruit flavours: an elegant example of cool-climate Shiraz. This wine was made by Mike Garland and matured in French and American oak for fifteen months.
2004 Riesling
September 1, 2004A fresh stylish Riesling with aromatic qualities grown on a southerly slope of well-drained gravelly loam. This wine was made by winemaker Mike Garland and features all the qualities of a typical cool-climate Riesling for which Mt Barker is renowned.
